FDOT is in the process of hosting public meetings to discuss a handful of concepts related to the TBX project through Fall 2018. In January 2019, FDOT officials will present options to Hillsborough County elected officials and members of the public, including the option of doing nothing or returning to the original TBX proposal.
Completion of the entire reset process isn’t expected until late 2019, and that is assuming there is no need for FDOT to hit the pause button as it did with TBX. The bottom line is hurry up and wait at this point, as FDOT considers all alternatives.
