The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has updated plans to replace the Howard Frankland Bridge. Improvements include better transit accommodations, express lanes and a bicycle/pedestrian path. Construction is set to begin in 2020. The proposed changes are part of FDOT’s Tampa Bay Next process, which replaces the Tampa Bay Express plan.
