FDOT Changes Lanes on the Howard Franklin Bridge

FDOT has changed its plans have toll lanes on the Howard Franklin Bridge. The change  was the result of complaints and outrage from the public and elected officials after learning the tolled express lanes would replace one lane in each direction for general travel (non toll). The original TBX plan included almost 90 miles of toll lanes. The improvements to the Howard Franklin Bridge are part of the larger regional Tampa Bay Express (TBX) which is a $6 billion highway project.
