FDOT has unveiled its preliminary plans for improvements to the Howard Franklin Bridge. This project, as well as Tampa Bay Next, (which is currently undergoing conceptual review) are being undertaken for the purpose of increasing capacity and reducing congestion through the Tampa Bay area.
