FDOT is again studying alternative concepts for the highway improvements to Tampa’s downtown interchange (malfunction junction) and the portion of I-275 to Bearss Avenue. As part of the study, FDOT will reconsider its use of toll lanes on all four options. According to FDOT, the proposed options have taken into account the concerns and feedback from the community. FDOT anticipates completing its study and having a final concept approved by early 2019. However, the public should have an indication of the preferred concept in late 2018.
